Streetside Seafood receives Best of Detroit award The readers of Hour Detroit Magazine know precisely where to find the best seafood in the suburbs – Streetside, of course. The year, in the magazine’s Best of Detroit awards, Streetside was named the Best Seafood Restaurant in the suburbs. On Friday, June 27, Streetside (along with sister restaurant and fellow winner Beverly Hills Grill) will celebrate this honor at the Best of Detroit Party at MotorCity Casino in Detroit. Streetside Chef Provides Students with Healthy Lunch Option Our award-winning executive chef Michael Barrera visited two high schools in Birmingham recently. To introduce a new, healthier option for lunch, Groves and Seaholm students were treated to Fish Tacos with Brown Rice. On the days Chef Mike visited to prepare the Fish Tacos, students were able to purchase them for lunch. At Streetside, Chef Mike (pictured here with Kevin Newton, one of the Streetside managers) leads a talented culinary team that prepares fresh, innovative menu items from appetizers to entrees to desserts.
